Profession: |
I am an Art Conservator at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
|
Years in Boston: |
I've been living in Boston for just over two years, though lived here for a year about 5 years ago.
|
Years with Community Running: |
I have been a member of CR for more than 6 months
|
Favorite CR workout: |
My favorite CR workout is Monday night speedwork. Fast intervals breaks up my weekly running routine nicely.
|
Favorite place to go for a run in the Boston area: |
My favorite place (most convenient) is running around the Charles, but my favorite area for beautiful vistas is anywhere near the ocean e.g. Cohasset (where they host an annual 10 Km race) or on Cape Cod on any ocean/sea view road near Osterville and Hyannisport. I like the Boston Marathon course, too! Good for some hillwork.

Race performance you are proudest of: |
I'd have to say the race I am most proud of was my first marathon in Philadelphia last November 2007, where I qualified for both Boston and NYC!! My time was 3:20:24. I am especially proud because I came to running later in life and I continue to improve! Coach Brian was a big part of my success: because of his coaching, his training plan and his unending patience and support, I ran a great race. Race conditions were actually pretty good - nice and cold, but miserably rainy and cloudy.

Top benefits of CR membership: |
I love the track workouts - they add structure to my general training and shake my usual running week. I like the friendly, non-threatening environment of Community Running in general. It is nice and low key -where you can make it what you want. I like that there are people of ALL running abilities. I like the camaraderie and support of all team members. I like that I can always find someone to drink beer with, I mean consume carbs with me ;)

Why do you run?: |
I run to eat and eat to run!! Everything tastes better when I run... EVERYTHING is better when I run! ;)
